Summary: Checked into the hotel after a long day of flying & was put in a small room next to an elevator. I asked for a different room to get quiet restful sleep. They upgraded me to a beautiful, large, top floor room immediately with a great view & I stayed 5 nights — which was great! The hotel is nice but getting old — my door kept sticking so I'd have to pound it open. There were surfaces that weren't wiped in the first room & hair in the shower in the second room I got. There's no microwaves in the rooms, which means you can't heat up food or anything else you might need. You can easily hear anyone in the rooms next to yours — TV, conversations, coughing, cleaning, etc... I had to sleep with ear plugs in. The top floor bar had spiders & webs everywhere — even on one of the tables I tried to sit in with a client. The front desk never answered the phone when I tried to call to ask for more towels. I didn't have time to use the gym or other amenities so it seemed silly to be charged an amenity fee every day of my stay. The staff in the downstairs cafe wasn't nice when I tried to order food & tea my first day because they apparently close at 3pm even though the paperwork the front desk gave me said they were open until 10pm. One of the employees charged me an extra dollar tip on top of what I'd already left — this seems to be a trend nationwide. The front desk did give me free bottled waters though & lots of drink tickets so that was great. Nice location & views; got a good deal.
